UK Visa Application Centres in India

VFS Global is officially authorized by the British High Commission in India to accept applications for all categories of visas. VFS Global operates 12 Application Centres across India and they are located at:

Northern India: New Delhi, Jalandhar and Chandigarh.
Western India: Mumbai South, Mumbai North, Pune and Ahmedabad
Southern India: Chennai, Hyderabad, Cochin and Bangalore
Eastern India: Kolkata

If you are a national of one of the countries listed here, and you intend to stay in the UK for 6 months or longer, you must apply for a visa before you travel. The countries are: Australia, Canada, Hong Kong SAR, Japan, Malaysia, New Zealand, Singapore, South Africa, South Korea and the USA.

How to apply

You must submit your visa application in person at the UK Visa Application Centres. This is because your biometric details will be taken at the same time. We strongly recommend that you visit an Application Centre by prior appointment, saving you unnecessary waiting time. Click here to schedule an appointment.

You can make an application in 3 easy steps:-

Pay your visa fee at the designated bank branches or alternatively at the bank teller counter at the Visa Application Centres. Click here to get the list of bank branches where the fees can be paid.
Print the visa application form and complete the same.
Visit the UK Visa Application Centre to submit your visa application pack and supporting documents, and for biometric enrolment.

Other long-term entry categories include Highly Skilled Migrant Programme (HSMP);PLAB; Student Nurse; Science & Engineering Graduate Scheme (SEGS);sole representatives; investors; setting up in business; UK grandparents. If you are applying as a dependant of anyone in these categories, you should pay the same fee as the main applicant.

*Direct Airside Transit Visas needed for nationals of:

(a) Fees are payable per applicant, including children and are non-refundable. An official receipt must be obtained for all the payments made.
(b) You could avail of the optional courier return facility wherein your passport will be returned back to you at your home / office address via a courier, for a nominal charge of Rs.170/- per passport inclusive of 12.36% Service Tax & Cess.
