Answering my own post for the benefit of others. The default value of AutoGenerateColumns property of gridview is true as it shows up in the proprtywindow, but my suggestion is : Don't count on it. I think it's a wash. We've been playing a bit with nested gridviews in 2.0.It's a lot of work. Probably as much work as writing your own HTML.
